Teacher Hanka collected the girls just before 11:00 on Saturday morning and we then ran to collect the 11 o'clock bus to Prague. In Prague, we popped into the metropole shopping centre where I had been eyeing some new boots and with new purchase in hand (or actually by that stage "on-foot") we caught the underground to the centre of Prague where our hotel was. We checked in just around 2pm, settled into our room and then crashed! (ok, so we didn't sleep immediately ;-)...)
We got up in time to don our opera best with time to walk to the restaurant at the theatre where we had a 5pm reservation. The restaurant had been recommended to us by a colleague and boy was it a treat! Very Larny... and great to be there alone. We felt very spoiled as we ate sushi and decor-type cuisine in very romantic settings.
The opera house was a real experience! It is all glitz and glamour - but of an ancient 18th century kind of way. The photos below don't really show off the theatre, but it will at least give you a tit-bit until you decide to come and see for yourselves :-)

*Sigh* We will definitely have to do that again...
