First Day at School

After being at home for 2 weeks and almost climbing the walls, the girls have been counting the days until school starts.  For Sarah, there is great expectation in the novelty of having English teachers and playmates.

For both the girls, this is quite a jump, as they are being boosted a grade since the American and Czech schooling system only starts at 6, while the UK starts at 5.  So, Amber moves to Grade 2 and Sarah starts big school!

This is also the first time that the girls have had to wear a uniform and they are feeling very grown up.

This morning was the big day as the schools went back after the mid-term break.  A&S posing in their uniforms before school:

We collected the girls at 3.15 when school closed and they were both full of the joys, with Sarah declaring that she “just loves Work”… Let’s hope it doesn’t wear off too quickly :)
